Job Description:
Service Bros Transport is seeking an experienced and dependable Yard Hostler to join our team in San Bernardino, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely moving and positioning trailers throughout our yard, staging equipment for outbound loads, and ensuring trailers are inspected and ready for daily operations.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, prioritizes safety, and can work efficiently in a fast-paced transportation environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely move, park, and position trailers throughout the yard.
- Stage trailers for daily and next-day outbound loads.
- Perform trailer inspections and identify any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard.
- Coordinate with dispatch and warehouse personnel to ensure trailers are ready for departure.
- Report equipment defects or other operational issues to management.
- Follow all company safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Previous yard hostler or commercial truck driving experience preferred.
- Ability to safely maneuver trailers in tight spaces.
- Knowledge of basic trailer inspections and equipment safety.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Compensation & Schedule:
- $26.00 per hour.
- Monday through Friday.
- Day shift.
- Full-time position.
